Mr.Shane Jessup & Tim Diet @ JINXED 7/25/08

Well the steamy, slow-ass days of summer are here in case you didn't notice. With South Street solidly in the toilet, it's pretty much up to us to keep it interesting so here it goes...

First off on Friday, July 25th we're having an opening with Mr. Shane Jessup and Tim Diet. You probably know Shane's work with Kid Robot. He's had a Dunny in just about every three inch series, and also did the 'Things That Hurt' zipper pull series. He'll be bringing a bunch of custom painted Dunnys as well as some very cool canvasses. Tim Diet has been putting in work in Manhattan most recently, and will also have a bunch of custom painted toys as well as panels that look like they could have been silk-screened, but are 100% brush on wood. Think if Casper the Friendly Ghost wore a Louis Vuitton sheet. Cool, clever stuff.

With the exit of our beloved Alex to Benna's coffee shop. (She's already been promoted) We welcome Leanne Biank and Nina Rose. In addition to customer service, Leanne will be handling our graphics from here on in. After her tours of duty with Olde City Tattoo, and Spain, we are happy to welcome Nina Rose to the family. Stop in and say hello, they are both MUCH more pleasant than I am.

Finally on August 1st at Media Bureau, 4th & Brown we are curating Fuji Bicycle's Rolling Canvas show. It's a great collection of artists...Adam Wallacavage, Carrie Collins, Paul Romano, Emily Glaubinger, Jake Henry, Eleanor Grosch, Leanne Biank, Tristan Eaton, Shane Jessup, Ben Woodward, Chris Yormick,Tim Diet, Joy LessPosh, Isaacbushkin, Awesome Dudes, Acid USA, Darrin Rowland, Greg SP One Lamarche, Roland Burns, Ellie Lum, Gerik Forston, Dustin Klein, and Miriam Singer.
Awesome!
